Along with its smooth contours, the deeply upholstered chair offers your choice of fabric from woven to leathers and vinyls, all of which look and feel inviting. The Sofia is easy and intuitive to use, too. Settle into your supportive seat, do up your easy-to-use seatbelt if you like and move the controls to glide in either direction, up or down– it’s so simple.

Safe and space-saving design

The Sofia comes with a range of safety and space-saving aspects. With a one-step fold-away function, your Sofia allows you neatly fold the chair, offering extra space, while a seat-safety sensor keeps your stairlift from moving until you’re in your seat. Your Sofia can be locked using the integral control key to keep it safe from young ones. For those who have troubles using their hands you can also choose a one or two-way powered swivel seat (optional) which is designed for narrow halls, that turns to face your hallway or landing. This feature makes getting in or out of your Sofia, easy as can be. 

Rails that follow every twist and turn

Your Sofia sits on a made-to-measure curved rail, designed to neatly hug every curve of your stairs, while its elegant design harmonises itself with your home. The rails twin-tube design offers exceptional strength and stability while it’s slimline profile sits leaves room on your stairs for others to safely use them. The rail is attached to your stairs instead of the walls and fits on either side of your staircase, depending on space.

• Comfortable & Stylish Chair the Sofia offers the ultimate in comfort, with a padded seat and back, available in a variety of materials such as supple leather, hard wearing woven and easy-clean durable vinyl, which are all fire retardant and available in a range of contemporary colours to suit your taste and home.
• Adjustable Arms With Intuitive Controls And Removable Key During installation, the technicians will adjust your Sofia armrests for additional comfort. Gently move the controls in the direction you want to travel in order to operate your chairlift. The controls also double as a key, which allows you to easily lock your stairlift, this is especially useful if you have small visitors.
• One-Step Fold-Away And Removable Link Bars* All you need to do is flip up the chairs arms or seat, and the footrest will follow, making it easy and hassle-free to fold your chair up against the wall and offer more space on your stairs. The removable link bars allow for a comfortable side transfer if required. This is useful for those transferring onto the seat from a wheelchair*. Please note that by removing the link bars the one-step fold function will be removed.
• Easy-To-Use Swivel Levers Take advantage of the easy-to-operate manual swivel lever, or select the optional one or two-way powered swivel, to get off your stairlift in the safest position possible at the top or bottom of the stairs.
• Safety Edges Safety sensors around the footrest and carriage automatically detect anything obstructing your stairs, bringing your Sofia to a prompt yet gentle stop.
• Easy-To-Use Seatbelt Use the uniquely designed belt which can easily be fastened with one hand.
• Seat Safety Sensor A sensor within your chairlifts seat ensures you won't move until you're safely settled into your chair.
