Easy to transport portable Mobility Scooters

Portable Mobility Scooters are very popular due to their versatility and Motobility stocks a wide range of different folding portable scooters from a variety of different manufacturers, with the largest model being able to carry up to 200kg in user weight.

These folding portable mobility scooters are all designed to be transported in the boot of your car and are well suited for outdoor use and use for everyday errands such as shopping, doctor visits or a trip around the retirement village or local neighbourhood. Depending on the model, you will find that they are equipped with suspension or pneumatic tyres for a more comfortable ride on a variety of surfaces.

If you want something portable, but don’t want to or can’t do any lifting, it would be worthwhile to consider the Quingo Flyte, the only self-loading scooter currently available on the market.

Did you Know?

Most portable-scooters come as a standard with a lead-acid or gel battery but can be converted to carry Lithium batteries. Lithium batteries are significantly lighter and can make the process of loading the scooter into the car significantly easier.

If you are wanting to use your scooter inside your house, consider a powerchair or portable electric wheelchair. These product have a shorter wheelbase and allow for better maneuverability in tight spaces, such as at home or at the workplace.

Motobility only stocks 4-wheel, 5-wheel and very stable 3-wheel portable mobility scooters in this category, due to safety reasons. If you are looking at using your machine in confined spaces, we recommend a 5-wheel model, such as the Quingo Air or a model which has it’s front wheels closer together, such as the SupaScoota Range. If a smooth ride and ease of transport are your primary concern, the Kymco Mini Comfort would be your best choice. Many other factors would impact which scooter is the best choice for each individual. Hence we have all available models available for test rides, either in our Showrooms or through our complimentary, obligation-free in-home demonstration service. To find out more about test rides, or book in a time for a test ride, contact us here.
