Wallglider

Simple, efficient and easy to operate. The Wallglider lift and recline chair has been a firm favourite since we opened our doors in 2001. Also referred to as Space-saver or Wall-hugger this chair does exactly what it promises, it slides forward away from the wall as the leg rest starts to raise. This function allows you to position your chair up to 15cm close to a wall, without constricting the chairs movements or damaging your wall in the slightest.

This one-motor lifting chair has been designed with a new innovative motor which allows you to split the reclining functions between the legs and backrest. While you aren’t able to control the headrest and legrest independently from each other, this recliner lifter runs through a sequence of motion, which allows you to adjust the leg rest while remaining in a standard seated position and the backrest will only start to recline when the leg rest is fully extended.  Whether you wish to watch television with your legs elevated or recline to a 45-degree position for an afternoon nap, the Wallglider allows you to do it all.

The Wallglider is available with three standard frame sizes Small, Medium and Large or can be custom built to suit customers with other sizing requirements.

Backrest Options

All our imported space-saving lifting chairs come with the classic back. The classic back offers a lightly contoured backrest, with an adjustable/removable neck cushion.

If you choose a WA-made lifting chair you have the additional option of selecting  the Two-Roll Comfort back on your Wallglider lift-chair. The 2-roll back is easily adjustable by adding or removing some stuffing from the back, allowing you to easily customise the support and feel of your chairs backrest.  In addition, we have added a small lumbar pocket behind the lower "roll" of the backrest. You will be supplied with two small inserts (one thin and a thicker one), by adding one insert or both, you will be able to increase the lumbar support of your back for additonal support.

Western Australian Custom Build Chair

We offer both budget-friendly imported wallgliders as well as our custom built chairs that we make in-house at our Osborne Park Warehouse. These chairs are made using only the highest quality materials and come with a complimentary 5-year warranty.

As the name suggests, we can customise the chair based on your requirements and preferences, allowing you to achieve a perfect fit! Best of all, you get full creative freedom! Choose from a vast range of different materials, such as leather, vinyl, fabric and high-quality waterproof fabrics. Choose a design that blends in with your current décor, or decides to create a statement piece. The choice is all yours! Our friendly consultants will give you advice and guidance if you require it.

Sizes and Dimensions

In the table below, you can see the sizes of the Wallglider with both Backrest options. Don’t forget you also have the choice to custom build YOUR Bed Chair, which means you aren’t restricted to the sizes outlined below.

The purple numbers show you the size range available for WA made chairs.

The orange numbers below show the sizes of our stocked items (imported chairs). For these items, the only possible modification that can be made is the addition of wheels, increasing the overall height of the chair.
