21 February 2022Quingo Flyte Mk2 - FAQ
ScootersQuingo Flyte
Can I use other scooters with the Quingo Flyte Docking Station?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. While there is no reason other scooters can't drive up the telescopic ramp system, most scooters will not be able to. Furthermore, only the Quingo Flyte will securely lock into the docking station.
How does the docking station attach to my car?
The docking station comes fitted with heavy-duty velcro plates and suction pads, which attach to the carpet of your car. For additional stability, the docking station comes with four (4) safety arms (two (2) at the back and two (2) at the front to keep it in place). We recommend securing the Quingo Flyte using the existing seatbelt for even more safety.
Can I still access my back seats and use the Quingo Flyte?
No, Unfortunately, the Quingo Flyte and Dockingstation will require the use of your boot and back seats. However, one of the improvements on the Quingo Flyte Mk2 is redesigning the docking station frame and ramps. This means that you can easily remove the ramps (left and right) from the installed frame. Once this has been done, you have access to your backseats. However, you will not be able to transport the Quingo Flyte simultaneously.
I bought a new car, can I move my docking station?
Absolutely! You can view the below video, which will show you how to install the Dockingstation. However, if you prefer, you can contact us on 08 9242 7333, and we can move the docking station for you.
Will the Docking Station damage my car?
No, it will not. We have installed the docking station in several hire cars for expos and other events, without any issues.
Will it fit my car?
To find out if your car is compatible with the new Quingo Flyte, click here or give us a call on 08 9242 7333
Can I get government assistance to purchase the Quingo Flyte
Yes, you can. We have seen people get approval through the NDIS and through Level 4 agedcare packages. As everyone's needs and circumstances are different. We recommend you speak to your Occupation Therapist or Support Organisation.
