Busselton Jetty |
Did you know that both the Jetty Train and Underwater Observatory are wheelchair accessible? If you haven’t managed to check out Australias largest artificial reef it well overdue. |
Dunsborough Beach Wheelchair |
Here at Motobility, we get many enquiries for the purchase and rental of mobility equipment that can handle WA beaches. The Dunsborough visitor centre has a Beach Wheelchair available for hire for free. Bookings are essential as the demand is very high. ||
Margaret River: Mammoth Cave |
The entrance boardwalk follows the path of a winter-stream, winding through the forest outside and into the massive first chamber of the cave. This is the site of one of Australia's most important palaeontological digs in the early 1900's. The cave still contains the fossil jawbone of a long-extinct giant marsupial species, embedded within the limestone wall - 50,000 years after the animal roamed the forests above. |
Don’t forget to visit your favourite local winery, pick-up some chocolotes for the neighbours, friends or family back home and visit one of the many lookouts and watch the locals and visitors alike battle the waves. You can even continue down the cost toward Margaret River and Yallingup and check out the many wineries, art galleries and gourmet food places on the way.

Motobility Pro Tip: |
Make it a family event, The South West and this part of the cape to cape track is perfect for an inter-generational outing or holiday, providing easy access for mobility equipment and prams alike! Plan your walk to finish at Sugarloaf Rock around sunset, which is a spectacular sight. Select your mobility equipment with care, travelling on unsealed roads, woodan broadwalks and grassed areas can pose problems for some mobility devices. Opt for products with suspension or pneumatic tyres wherever possible. |
The best Products:
There are many options of mobility devices and products that would be suitable for this trip. Ultimately it will depend on what you are planning and how much assistance, comfort you require |
Convenience & Portability Check out our Solax Automatic Folding Travel Scooter Range, for the ultimate ease of folding and unfolding. To allow for extra comfort we recomend the Solax Charge or the Solax Transformer, both feature rear suspension, for just that little bit more comfort on the bumps in the road. |
Maneuvrability & Loading/unloading If you like the scooter experience, but prefer something slightly easier to load and with a tighter turning scooter the Freerider Luggie Range is a great option. The Elite Plus and Super Plus, offer superb maneuvrability, while providing additional comfort through the rear Pneumatic Tyres. The easy lift and push function of the scooters, also make them easier to load and unload. |
Comfort & Maneuvrability The third option is to opt for an Electric Wheelchair. A simple one-step folding mechanism allows for easy transport, while the overall design of electric wheelchairs offers higher comfort levels as well superior maneuvrability for use in confined spaces, such as restaurants and busy broadwalks. The two models below are of the E-Traveller brand and come with 12inch rear tyres and a 180kg weight capacity. They are also available in a regular or wide seat. Choose from the E-Traveller 180 Ergo for the ultimate in support and breathability or opt for the more traditional E-Traveller180 Flex. |
